Tanner Aus has qualified for the fifth NFR of his career, and he did so in a familiar spot. Aus heads to Arlington in the eighth spot after earning $61,725.50 on the season. Aus also finished in eighth last season with earnings topping the $170,000 mark.
Aus’ 2020 season was highlighted by four wins. In February Aus won the La Fiesta de los Vaqueros Rodeo thanks to a 91.50 point ride on Beutler and Son’s Killer Bee.
Aus also won the Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo which earned him a check of $2,615 after an 88.50 point ride.
His season kept moving along in Montana after winning the Northeast Montana (Kalispell) Fair and Rodeo with an 87.50 point ride.

One of the biggest paydays for Aus came in July when he was the co-champion of the World’s Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona. The 87 point ride cashed him a check for over $5,000.

The 30-year-old cowboy will look to have more success in the NFR after he won round three and placed in five others. At the NFR alone he earned just over $91,000 last year.
It will be tough for Aus to catch Tim O’Connell who sits in first place and has nearly doubled Aus’ earnings, but everyone else is within reach. Positions three through seven are all within $20,000 and Kaycee Feild, who is in second place in the world standings, is $33,166 ahead of Aus.
