At age 33, Trevor Kastner has been meaning to step away from rodeo and spend more time with family, but he just keeps riding bulls well enough to hang around.

After missing the NFR four years in a row between 2014 and 2017, Kastner has now qualified three times in a row despite consistently being one of the oldest bull riders in the field.

He’s No. 13 in the standings after finishing with $55,281 and he made about 40 percent of his money on the Xtreme Bulls Tour, where he was fifth in 2020.

Kastner had two Xtreme Bulls Tour win in addition to one other rodeo win in 2020.

The first came at the X Bulls event in Weatherford. Kastner won $3,413 for his 88 points on the back of Shagga. Three weeks after that on July 28, he was marked 89.5 on Ferdinand in Dodge City and finally, his one rodeo win came courtesy of an 88-point ride on Muley Madness in Lawton.
