In 2020, Ty Breuer’s average ride score was a career-best 82.23 and he enters his sixth NFR in 14th place in the bareback riding world standings.
The North Dakota cowboy has not rodeoed since the Cache County Fair and Rodeo in Utah on Aug. 8, but he won plenty of money early in the season to propel him to another National Finals and that started in San Antonio. Breuer finished second there, placing in three rounds and notching two 89-point rides. Overall, he won more than $18,000 in the Alamo City.

Breuer’s next big check came after the COVID-19 break at the World’s Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona. There he rode Misty Frontier for 87 points to win the rodeo and earn $5,854.
During the Fourth of July run, Breuer also placed in Mobridge, South Dakota and Kildeer, North Dakota, winning $3,000 combined at those two rodeos. Less than a week later, he finished second at the Dinosaur Roundup in Vernal, Utah to win $2,888. Breuer won more than $16,000 in the month of July.

Breuer has earned more than $100,000 in a year four times in his career but has never finished better than No. 12 in the world standings.
