National Finals Rodeo 2023: Round 3 Daysheet

Round 3 of the NFR begins on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+ at 8:45 PM ET/5:45 PM PT!

BAREBACK RIDING

Rookies Keenan Hayes and Kade Sonnier both have powerhouses for matchups. Hayes’ with Frontier Rodeo’s Full Baggage and Sonnier with Championship Rodoe’s Hooey Rocks, these horses can easily take them to the pay window.

STEER WRESTLING

Dalton Massey is holding strong to No. 1 in the Average and in the World, but it is World Champion Tyler Waguespack who is hot on his heels. They are both out in the middle of the pack tonight.

TEAM ROPING

Clint Summers and Jake Long have dominated the first two Go-Rounds while Nelson Wyatt and Jonathon Torres stay consistent, doing what they need to do, to be closing in on that No. 1 spot in the Average in a game where consistency is key and smooth is fast.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Zeke Thurston will go toe-to-toe with Straight Jacket, a horse he has been 90+ points on and won multiple rodeos on. Ryder Wright will have the inside scoop on Joker Poker from his brother, putting himself in prime position for a win.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Haven Meged, Tuf Cooper and Cory Solomon are all starting their NFR just right. We haven’t seen a Round win from any of them yet but they are on their way.

BARREL RACING

Emily Beisel’s made a horse change in Round 2 to the rising super star, Liza, and in a tough round they pulled a check. NFR first-timers Summer Kosel and Apollo are settling in after a down barrel in Round 1, they impressed in Round 2 as did Stevi Hillman, the Round 2 winner, on Sandi.

BULL RIDING

Jared Parsonage is fresh off of a Round win with a matchup tonight that could land him at the pay window again. Parsonage is one ot only two bull riders to go 2-for-2 so far, the other is Ky Hamilton. Hamilton’s bull, Angels Landing, has helped him to the pay window before after a 93-point ride this summer.
