National Western Stock Show - Denver

The National Western Stock Show and Rodeo started a new rodeo format in 2020 and they will be doing it the same way in 2023.

In the roughstock events, the contestants will be made up of the top 72 contestants from the 2022 World Standings and the top eight from the 2023 World Standings.

In the timed events, you will see the top 30 contestants from the 2022 World Standings, the top five from the 2023 World Standings, the top five from the Mountain States Circuit Standings, and the top 40 from the Denver Qualifier.

In Barrel Racing, it will be the top 48 from the 2022 World Standings, the top four from the 2022 Women’s Professional Rodeo Association Tour Standings, the top 18 from the Mountain States Circuit, and the top ten from the 2023 World Standings.

These contestants will compete in two Go-Rounds and the top 24 in the average after the two Go-Rounds will advance to a Progressive Round.

In that Progressive Round, the top 24 will be split into three pools of eight. The top four from each pool will advance to the Final Round. The Final Round is a clean slate and the highest score or fastest time wins the Championship title from the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.
