The National Western Stock Show and Rodeo is often noted as the unofficial start to each rodeo season.
In 2024, with between $7,198 and $16,003 paid out to the champions, things were no different. The early season PRCA World Standings have already taken shape and some young standouts have started to emerge in the professional ranks as well.
The 2024 champions in Denver were Garrett Shadbolt in bareback riding (86.5 points), Tyler Pearson in steer wrestling (3.3 seconds), Dustin Egusquiza/Levi Lord in team roping (4.0 seconds), Brody Cress in saddle bronc riding (91 points), Tanner Green in tie-down roping (7.3 seconds), Hailey Kinsel and Halyn Lide in barrel racing (14.73 seconds), and T Parker in bull riding (84 points).
