Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord frequently find themselves in the Winner’s Circle all season long and 2025 is no exception. The second leg of the Texas Swing was good to the now No. 1 header and heeler in the World from the first go-round.

“I love this rodeo. It’s got to be my favorite rodeo of the year. This is my third time winning it now and I just look forward to it every year. We like this time of year also, looking forward to going to San Angelo and Austin and stuff like that. We want to show up to Reno with a lot of money won, make the summer easy so it’s a good time of year to do good,” Egusquiza said.

The duo was the second to last team to rope and they were not expecting their 4.1-second run to hold but it did just that by the huge margins of half a second. Egusquiza and Lord have brought in new horses for the 2025 season and so far, it is paying off.

“We’re headed all night to Tucson for the Short Round tomorrow, so head straight there and hope for more of the same,” Lord said.
