Gus Gaillard got the win in round one of the National High School Finals Rodeo in Lincoln, Nebraska with a 78 point ride in the saddle bronc riding.
Gaillard is no stranger to competition, he’s been the Texas High School Rodeo saddle bronc champion for two years in a row, he’s competed at the American Semi-Finals in Fort Worth, Texas and his goals don’t stop there. Gaillard plans to win a national high school title, go on to the permit finals with the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association and win the Resistol Rookie of the year when he hits the pro rode.
Gus Gaillard is a name you will be seeing more and more. He competes again in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 24 in the morning for go round no. 2, the short go for the NHSFR is that evening.
