Thorp’s big payday to kick off his season came at the American in Arlington, Texas. A 4.9 in Round 1 was good enough for third place and a 6.3 in the Finals added $25,000 to his standings money. He kept the momentum as he rolled east. He made a 4.1 second run at the 93rd Annual Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo to gain close to another $5,000.

CODY SNOW AND WESLEY THORP AT SAN ANGELO RODEO

At the San Angelo Rodeo, Thorp and Snow got a time in all three rounds but their money came from Round 1 and the Finals. In Round 1 they stopped the clock at 4.2 to be fourth while in the Finals Round it was a 4.4 that got them the win. Thorp brought home over $3,500 between the two rounds. Another first place time came in Red Bluff California in Round 2 when they roped a 5.4 for almost $2,000.

The winning continued at Redding Rodeo with a 5.2 second run worth over $2,000 that kept Thorp climbing in the standings. He picked up a check in Round 1 of Reno Rodeo with a 5.2 and picked up a win at West Of The Pecos Rodeo with a 6.1.

Thorp’s Fourth of July run added more than $8,500 to his season earnings. A second place finish at the Western Stampede was followed up with a seventh place finish at Oakley Independence Day Rodeo but the big pay day came at Cody Stampede with a 4.2 second run and it didn’t stop there. At Mandan Rodeo Days and the Livingston Roundup Rodeo they did it again. With a 5.4 in Mandan and a 4.4 in Livingston the team added to their winnings.

CODY SNOW & WESLEY THORP IN PUYALLUP, WASHINGTON

The end of Thorp’s regular season was a good one. In Puyallup, Washington they got it done in a 4.6 to be second and take home more than $2,000 in Round 1. They were a 4.7 in the Finals to add to it. At the Pendleton Round-Up they roped a 4.6 again to win Round 1 and they followed it up at Lion’s Dixie Roundup (Utah) with a 5.5 to earn his last check of the regular season.

Thorp finished 5th after the 2020 NFR but is sitting in the perfect spot to win another World Title if all goes right in Las Vegas come December 2.
