SCOTT GUENTHNER AND TYSON AT THE AMERICAN 4.0 SECONDS
Curtis Cassidy owns and rides a horse named Dashin Haze but he’s better known as Tyson. Tyson was named Purina Horse of the Year in the steer wrestling for the second year in a row now.
Tyson has taken Cassidy, Jesse Brown, Scott Guenthner and more to the pay window this year. At The American in March, Tyson carried Guenthner to a win in the first round. At the Calgary Stampede, Cassidy got a round win on his horse with a 4.2 and he also got a round win at the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Brown has had plenty of success on Tyson this year including two round wins at the Ram National Circuit Finals.
CURTIS CASSIDY AT THE CALGARY STAMPEDE 4.2 SECONDS
Tyson was the main mount for a good number of steer wrestlers at the Calgary Stampede. In total, nine cowboys rode the horse of the year into the box including Cody Cassidy, Dakota Eldridge, Ryan Shuckburgh, Blake Knowles, Dalton Massey and Taz Olson.
Cassidy took Tyson to the NFR last year where he and Jesse Brown competed on him. This year it will be Cassidy, Brown and Guenthner that ride the bay horse into the box at the Thomas and Mack.
JESSE BROWN AND TYSON AT THE RAM NATIONAL CIRCUIT FINALS, ROUND ONE 3.7 SECONDS
Cassidy knows a thing or two about winning horse of the year as Tyson is a multiple time horse of the year in multiple associations. Tyson is a horse that a bulldogger dreams of having and he has once again earned this prestigious title.
