PBR’s Sean Gleason & Riley Lambert Talk PBR World Finals Coming to Fort Worth

The PBR World Finals has officially made the move from Las Vegas, Nevada to Fort Worth, Texas and the count down is on for May 13.

Along with the location and venue change came a slight format change. There will now be seven go-rounds and one championship round. PBR CEO Sean Gleason says the reason for this change is the smaller size of Dickies Arena and it also the preferred format of the bull riders.

“It gives them a chance to have an off day and still get back in it to win the event, so it’s a win win for bull riders and the fans, it’s going to be a great experience,” Gleason said.

With the PBR World Finals taking place over the span of two weekends, it will have the biggest payout it has ever had. With more than $2.7 million getting paid out and more points available, the already tight World Title race is expected to come down the final day.

To qualify for the PBR World Finals, you must be in the top 35 in PBR’s World Standings. They also take the top two in the Velocity Tour Standings, the top two from the Velocity Tour Finals and the Velocity Tour Top International finisher.
