PRCA Team Roping Heeler Standings Update, Sept. 20: Battle for No. 1 Coming Down to the Wire

Levi Lord and Junior Nogueira are battling it out at the top of the Header World Standings and as we head into the last 10 days of the season, Lord holds a $12,000 lead over the No. 2 Nogueira.

Here is a look at the top 20 on the Head side.

No. 1 Levi Lord, $187,771

Levi Lord earned more than $12,000 for his win in Pendleton which helped him hold of Junior Nogueira and the rest of the Heelers. Lord also won over $3,000 in Puyallup and the Lewiston Roundup.

No. 2 Junior Nogueira, $175,079

Nogueira had a great showing in Pendleton where he placed fourth in the Average and fourth in the Finals. He won over $12,000 at the rodeo in total.

No. 3 Wesley Thorp, $146,500

The reigning World Champion won over $4,000 in September between Ellensburg and the West Texas Fair and Rodeo where he took second.

No. 4 Logan Medlin, $131,745

Medlin took home the title at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup thanks to a 4.9-second run in the Finals which earned him $13,000 and brought him within striking distance of the top 3.

No. 5 Jake Long, $124,083

Long earned a nice payday in Pendleton, making just over $3,500. This came just after he made over $4,500 in Puyallup.

No. 6 Kaden Profili, $121,368

Profili and his partner Brenten Hall started September off with a win in Ellensburg. The following weekend they made a 3.7-second run to win Lewiston. Profili has essentially locked in his first career NFR appearance.

No. 7 Douglas Rich, $116,588

Rich had a strong second weekend of the month where he won nearly $3,000 in Puyallup and over $3,000 in Lewiston where he and his partner Jake Smith made a 3.8-second run. This will be Rich’s second NFR appearance.

No. 8 Buddy Hawkins, $112,750

Hawkins has not cashed a check over $1,000 since early August where he was 4.1 seconds in Lea County to earn over $2,100.

No. 9 Hunter Koch, $109,491

Koch and his partner Cody Snow made $7,500 in Pendleton to make a jump in the standings. He and Snow posted a 3.8-second run in Lewiston and took third at Lake County with a 4.4-second run earlier in the month.

No. 10 Jonathan Torres, $109,491

Torres earned $2,800 in Puyallup after placing in two rounds but has not cashed a check since.

No. 11 Coleby Payne, $108,557

Payne made a 4.6-second run at the Lion’s Dixie Roundup which was good for third place and a check of just over $2,000.

No. 12 Paul Eaves, $105,148

Eaves had a strong weekend by winning the West Texas Fair and Rodeo with a time of 9.4 seconds on two. The win earned him over $4,700 and he won an additional $1,400 at the New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo.

No. 13 Colter Todd, $103,970

Todd took home a win at the Othella PRCA Rodeo and also finished second in Round 1 in Pendleton to add to his earnings as he battles on the bubble.

No. 14 Travis Graves, $103,050

Graves had a great showing in Pendleton where he earned over $10,000 which comes a week after earning over $7,000 in Puyallup. Graves has gone from outside the top 15 to No. 14 over the last two weeks.

No. 15 Tanner Braden, $102,097

Braden jumped to the No. 15 spot in the World Standings after finishing second at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup thanks to a 9.7-second run in the Finals. The run earned him just under $10,000.

No. 16 JC Flake, $101,216

Flake won over $6,500 in the first week of September but has not made a paycheck since.

No. 17 Brady Minor, $98,420

Brady Minor is on the outside looking in while his partner, Riley Minor is in the No. 15 spot on the Header side. The pair started September with a fourth-place finish in Ellensburg that earned them $6,500.

No. 18 Patrick Smith, $96,939

Smith has not made a paycheck since the beginning of September when he earned over $4,000 after placing third in the average in Ellensburg,

No. 19 Kollin VonAhn, $95,382

VonAhn has not made a check since early September when he placed eighth at the Lake County Round-up to earn nearly $1,500.

No. 20 Wyatt Cox, $92,549

Cox had a nice paydays at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo and the New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo where he made over $3,000 combined.
