Presley Smith Gets Emotional Win at Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup Presented by Resistol

Presley Smith clocked the fastest time of the rodeo in Cowtown Coliseum on Saturday to win the barrel racing at the Resistol Rookie Roundup.

Smith was 13.82 seconds in the Shootout to beat Jordan Driver by .14 seconds. Smith and Driver were the only two cowgirls to make clean runs in the Finals.

“My horse deserves this so much, he’s so consistent, he always pulls through, I tried to sell him so many times,” she said through tears. “I just hang out, he makes me look really good.”

With the win, Smith moved to second behind Bailey Choate in the Resistol Rookie Standings.
