Puyallup Cinch Playoffs: Friday Night Daysheet, Performance 2

The Second Round of rodeo for Playoff 1 in Puyallup will determine who from this set will advance to the Finals with a chance at qualifying for the Govenor’s Cup.

BAREBACK RIDING

Dean Thompson’s 86 won Round 1 and in Round 2, the Utah bareback rider has a rematch with Bridwell Pro Rodeo’s Silver Beaver. The two went for 77 points at Redding Rodeo in 2023 so Thompson will be looking to best that by a long shot.

STEER WRESTLING

A pair of 4.2-second runs took the Round 1 win for Playoff 1 courtesy of Jesse Brown and Clayton Hass. Hass is currently No. 20 in the PRCA World Standings and a Puyallup Cinch Playoffs Win would be game changing for the vetern bull dogger.

TEAM ROPING

World Champions Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord had their game face on in Puyallup. Their 4.1 won Round 1 by half a second with Chad Masters and Wyatt Cox’s 4.6 coming in second.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Kade Bruno will nod for the first time on Bridwell Pro Rodeo’s Scarlet Lady. With 11 outs so far in the 2024 regular season, Zeke Thurston’s 86.5-point ride is the highest so far on Scarlet Lady.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Dylan Hancock was four tenths of a second faster than the competition in the First Performance in Puyallup. He has set himself up for a potential return to the Finals.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

Taylor Munsell threw a 2.5 in the First Performance to get the Go-Round win by two tenths of a second. Danielle Lowman and Martha Angelone tied for second with a 2.7 and only the Top 4 will advance to the Finals.

BARREL RACING

Dona Kay Rule and Valor took the First Performance with a 14.23-second run. LaTricia Duke was the second fastest with a 14.28 and the competition is only getting faster.

BULL RIDING

Rookie Wacey Schalla put an 86.5 on top of the leaderboard in Performance 1. In Round 2, his matchup is Corey and Lange Rodeo’s White Out. Hayes Weight rode the bull for 80 points in 2023 but so far in 2024, the veteran bucking bull is undefeated.
