Quade Hiatt Wins Tie-Down Roping in First Playoff Semifinal in Austin

Quade Hiatt was almost a second faster than the rest of the field Wednesday night at Rodeo Austin and very likely earned himself a spot in the eight-man Championship Round.

Hiatt, who is ranked No. 14 in the PRCA World Standings, turned in a run of 8.2 seconds.

In Austin, the Top 8 competitors out of all 24 Playoff Semifinal qualifiers advance, regardless of where they finish in their own performance.

Kody Mahaffey was second in the performance Wednesday with an 8.9 second run and Trevor Hale was third, stopping the clock at 10.1 seconds.

You can watch the final two Playoff Semifinals at the Championship Round of Rodeo Austin Thursday, Friday and Saturday only on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+.
