The RAM Prairie Circuit Finals were among three Circuit Finals that took place over the weekend and the rodeo in Duncan, Oklahoma paid more than $200,000.
Jayco Roper won the bareback riding title for the second consecutive year. After doing so by one point last year, he left no doubt this time around by winning the Average by 16 points.
In steer wrestling, Aussie Travis Munro 14.7 seconds on three to win the Average by one tenth of a second over Tanner Brunner.
Team roping was won by Coleman Proctor/Logan Medlin, who are one of the hottest pairs in the world after winning the Governor’s Cup on Sept. 30. At the Prairie Circuit Finals, they were 18.1 on three which was almost five seconds better than the next closest team.
In saddle bronc riding, Jacob Benham was the only cowboy to ride all three which secured him the Average title. Reigning Circuit Finals Champion Ean Price left with some hardware once again as the Year-End Champion.
Tie-down roping was won by Cash Fuesz, who entered Round 3 with the lead and roped one in 7.9 seconds, the fastest time of the rodeo, for good measure.
In barrel racing it was a similar story to tie-down roping with Tracy Nowlin delivering the fastest run of the rodeo in Round 3 to win the Average.
Breakaway roping and bull riding were the only two events where the Finals Champion was also the Year-End Champion. Christi Braudrick and Creek Young were the ones to claim those titles.
