The Pony Express Rodeo wrapped this weekend with tie-down roper and team roper Rhen Richard as your all-around champion.
In the bareback riding Buck Lunak was 80 points on Bar T Rodeo’s Miller’s Hills to win it. Bronc Marriott was 78.5 points to be second and Cooper Bennett’s 78 was third. Ending up fourth was 76.5 points with Zachariah Phillips.
Chase Black was 4.0 seconds to get the win in the steer wrestling. Baylor Roche was 4.4, Jake Ashworth was 4.9 and Colton Mooney was 5.7 seconds to be in the top four.
Hagen Peterson and Jace Nielsen’s 5.4 second team roping run was the fastest run of the rodeo. Rhen Richard and Max Kuttler were 5.5 seconds to be second, Tanner Pallesen and Arye Espenscheid were 5.6 seconds to be third and Zane Barnson and Cole Wilson’s 6.1 seconds to be fourth.
Spencer Wright was the saddle bronc champion with 86.5 points on Bar T Rodeo’s Purple Heart followed by Jess Wright’s 83.5 points. Allen Boore was third with 81 points and in fourth was Rusty Wright with 80 points.
In the tie-down roping it was Zack Jongbloed with 7.7 seconds to win it. Spencer Moulton’s 7.9 second run was second, Colton Kofoed was 8.3 for third and Rhen Richard was 9.0 seconds to be fourth.
It was one hundredth of a second that split first and second in the barrels. Molly Otto was 17.13 seconds to be the barrel racing champion. Leia Pluemer was 17.14 to be second while Meka Farr was 17.17 seconds for third. There was a tie for fourth with 17.28 seconds between Sue Smith and Italy Sheehan.
Dalan Duncan was 89.5 points to win the bull riding on Bar T Rodeo’s Grey Eagle. Shad Winn was 84.5 points to be second, Wyatt Phelps was 83.5 for third and fourth went to Briggs Madsen with 81.5 points.
A 2.5 second run by Kimberlyn Fitch was the fastest breakaway run. Erryn Hodson was a 2.7 and Sierra Stoll was 2.8 seconds to be third.
