Tyler Waguespack is four Gold Buckles in as eight time National Finals Steer Wrestler. 2023 will be his ninth appearance and a fifth Gold Buckle is well within his reach.
“We got another 14 of the toughest guys in the World going right now, we got a lot of stiff competition out there. I mean, it’s anybody’s game, it’s whoever comes out on top after those ten days. It’s a marathon, you’ve got to sprint all ten nights so we’ll see what happens,” he said.
In a rig of guys that kept the positivity through out the season and pushed each other was one part of Waguespack’s 2023 season that made it memorable. As far as horsepower, Waguespack climbed on impressive equine athletes throughout the regular season but it will be Cheese that gets the call in Las Vegas.
“He’s stepped up at every stage I’ve put him on so far, so figured we might as well put him on the biggest one they’ve got,” Waguespack said.
Waguespack says that the Thomas and Mack just happens to be an arena that he has plenty of success in and he is excited to get back in December.
He enters this NFR as the No. 3 bull dogger trailing Dalton Massey and Jesse Brown.
