Bareback rider Weston Timberman claims another win in Iowa on a rematch with a veteran bucking horse.

Weston Timberman has been in the zone all season long and riding like a veteran. He is currently the No. 9 ranked bareback rider in the World and he added to his earnings after an impressive matchup resulted in another win. This win also allowed Timberman to earn his sixth Resistol Rookie of the Week title.

At the Tri-State Rodeo, Timberman’s name was next to Ain’t No Angel for the third time in his short career according to Stock Stats. Eight seconds of rodeo action later and Timberman’s name went to the top of the leaderboard with an 87-point ride, his best yet on the Cervi bronc.

Ain’t No Angel of the Cervi Brothers is a veteran bucking horse that World Champion Tim O’Connell has gone 90 points on at the National Finals Rodeo and Hall of Fame bareback rider Kaycee Field has ridden for the win at this same rodeo.

This was a $5,000 win for Timberman and although he is running away in the Resistol Rookie Race, it is a game where every cowboy knows that every penny counts when it comes to the National Finals Rodeo in December.

Timberman is once again your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week after he capitalizes on a rematch for a win.
