Riley Webb Wins Second Straight Round to Kickoff World Title Defense

Webb was the only cowboys in the 7s on Friday night

Riley Webb entered the NFR No. 4 in the World and has quickly put himself on the path toward another World Title.

After opening with a 7 flat in Round 1, he followed it up with a 7.8-second run to win another $33,687. Webb is now the projected World Champion in addition to leading the NFR Average by 1.7 seconds.

“Decent calf, knew I had a chance if I did my job, horse was great, drilled the barrier,” he said. “Had to get really wide, had to step left, I thought I was going to get her turned inside but caught her on her belly outside.”

On 12 career NFR runs, Webb has been 8.5 seconds or faster on nine of them.
