Fresh off of his second consecutive trip to the Finals of the National Western Rocker Steiner is making noise in Fort Worth.
The 2022 Resistol Bareback Riding Rookie of the Year was 86.5 points to take second in Round 2 before an 87-point ride earned him a first-place check Saturday afternoon.
Steiner was victorious in a loaded bracket that had the likes of Richmond Champion, Keenan Hayes, Chad Rutherford and Wyatt Denny.
“There’s so many good guys up in this set and so many really good horses, I knew I had to do everything I could to get out of this set,” he said after his Round 2 win. “Thankfully the horse did a great job and I did to.”
