RodeoHouston: Super Series 5 Semifinals Qualifiers

The final Super Series concluded and with it came the final few Semifinalists of this year’s RodeoHouston.

Five Super Series later in Houston and we have a full list of Semifinalists. After Round 3 of Super Series 5, some of the toughest names in the game have claimed their spots to return to NRG Stadium and get one step closer to a RodeoHouston title.

BAREBACK RIDING

Although reigning World Champion Keenan Hayes did not pick up a round win, he did place high enough in all three rounds to be the No. 3 cowboy to advance. It was Rocker Steiner who added another RodeoHouston guitar to his collection.

STEER WRESTLING

Your No. 1 bull dogger from Super Series 5 did not get a round win but instead, stay smooth and consistent to rake in more money than anybody else. Travis Munro’s fastest time was a 4.4 in Round 1 that put him second.

TEAM ROPING

A tie came in at the top in the team roping. Jake Clay and Trey Yates picked up two go-round wins while brothers Riley and Brady Minor won Round 2 and placed in Round 1 and 3 to match Clay and Yates earnings.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Sage Newman is riding a huge high in his season. He cashes in big with two go-round wins but the third round went to veteran Isaac Diaz and Brody Wells. The high marked ride of the Super Series belongs to Newman with his Round 1, 89-point ride.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Haven Meged took a big chunk of the Super Series 5 change with his $8,000 he earned. Two go-round wins and a second-place finish make him No. 1 while it took one go round win and placing in the two others to be second in the Super Series.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

Consistency was key for Hope Thompson in Houston. Two 2.8-second runs let her claim the first two rounds. Jordan Jo Hollabaugh would take Round 3 with a 3.0-second run to put her second.

BARREL RACING

Megan McLeod-Sprague had her place in the Semifinals cinched after the first two go-rounds. She claimed the Round 1 win with a 14.71 before finishing second in Round 2. Emily Beisel picked up a the Round 2 win but was on the bubble before finishing fifth in Round 3.

BULL RIDING

The first shut out of RodeoHouston came in Super Series 5 Round 2 when the bulls bucked off every single cowboy. However, Jordan Spears topped the field by being the only one to cover his two other bulls.
