Louisiana’s Owen Brouillette’s month of February poured fuel on the fire for the rookie bareback rider and he is carrying it into May. He landed at the pay window in Nebraska to now be a two-time Rookie Athlete of the Week.

Brouillette swung up to Rodeo Grand Island where he had a matchup with a young horse of Sutton Rodeo’s, Bay Bell. This would be the horse’s second professional out according to PRCA Stock Stats and now, it is the highest marked ride on the board.

With a score of 83 points coming Brouillette’s way, he tied for second-place money to cash in over $1,200. He is sitting No. 3 in the Resistol Rookie Race after this rodeo and it comes on the tails of another win by way of Florida.

Brouillette has earned his second title of the Rookie Athlete of the Week as he proves he is hungry for more.
