Young rookie bareback rider Sage Allen, from Blackfoot, Idaho, continues to turn heads, making a big statement this week in San Angelo. By holding strong to his No.1 position in the Resistol Rookie Race, Allen has secured the title of Rookie Athlete of the Week.

Allen is having major success during the Texas Swing and continues to prove himself. Sage matched up with Penthouse Pro Rodeos’ “Cosmic Stardust” to make a picture-perfect ride for 89 points. An outstanding score for both Allen, as well as it being Cosmic Stardust’s highest-marked ride of the year thus far.

After a big payday at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo earlier this season, Sage is now sitting at No. 18 in the World Standings, closing in on the Top 15 and hoping to maintain the momentum to get there. Sage, by putting himself at the top of the leaderboard in San Angelo, can help guide him there and get him to his first National Finals Rodeo this December.

Allen continues to dominate the Resistol Rookie Race in the Bareback riding with over $28,000 in winnings and looking to secure another big payday in San Angelo this Friday in the finals.
