Lane Vaughan is the No. 3 bull rider in the Resistol Rookie Race and he is making a push for the top. Vaughan is your Rookie Athlete of the Week after putting together two rides on the edge of 90.
The Oregon bull rider’s first success of the weekend came on Friday night at the Red Bluff Round-Up. The bull he drew was Sweet Justice of Rosser Rodeo and the 88.5-point ride would jump to No. 2 on the leaderboard.
Vaughan went from California to Texas where he would do it all over again at the San Angelo Cinch Chute Out. Stockyard’s ProRodeo’s Train Station was the name next to his and after eight seconds, Vaughan’s 88-point ride was worth another $8,800.
Two rides that totaled over $15,000 have Vaughan just outside of the Top 30 in the World with $24,933 in season earnings. He is your Rookie Athlete of the Week after jumping into the Top 3 in the Resistol Rookie Race.
