Rookie Bull Rider Scott Wells Capitalizes on Douglas County Win in Castle Rock

Scott Wells walked up to the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo and walked out with a win.

Scott Wells is the No. 5 Rookie in the Resistol Rookie Race and the No. 1 bull rider in the Texas Circuit. Although he sits just inside the Top 40 in the PRCA World Standings, he added to his earnings with a Douglas County Fair and Rodeo win.

Aboard Summit Pro Rodeo’s Cadilac Kind, Wells rode for 87.5 points to get the win over Jace Trosclair by just half a point.

“I didn’t really think a whole lot and he was really nice. It worked out,” Wells said.

Wells made his way to American through Greg Rhodes and Western Texas College where he really honed in on the mental side of the sport and it is paying off as he cashes in big during his rookie season.
