Rookie Bull Rider T Parker Ends Season with a Win and Advice from a Legend as He Looks towards Las Vegas

T Parker is headed to his first ever National Finals Rodeo as the No. 8 ranked bull rider after an incredible rookie season.

“This year was a big banger, I didn’t think I’d get as far as I did. I had a good feeling I was going to go home during the middle of the summer run, just because I’d never been away from my family that long. But after many long phone calls and many nights crying, I was able to just stick it out, do my job,” he said.

For Parker, it was rodeos like Rodeo Houston, Lawton Xtreme Bulls and the Washington State Fair that a huge impact on his season. Rodeo Houston is like a hometown rodeo for the Winnie, Texas cowboy and it gave him the needed confidence early on in the season.

Parker is currently healing an injury after ending his season with a win in Pasadena. It was none other than eight-time World Champion Don Gay that told him to go home, heal up and be at 100% when he gets to Las Vegas.

Unofficially, Parker is your Resistol Rookie of the Year in the bull riding and he is heading to the Thomas and Mack sitting No. 8 in the PRCA World Standings.
