Three-time National Finals Rodeo saddle bronc rider, Kade Bruno, is having a stellar start to his 2025 season. With four rodeos already under his belt, Bruno has cashed in big money at all four of them and that included his Texas Swing win at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo to be your Roughstock Athlete of the Week.

Bracket 1 kicked off for Bruno with a matchup with Brookman Rodeo’s Ragin’ Lunatic which was worth 87.5 points and the Round 1 win by half a point. For Round 2, Bruno nodded his head on another Brookman Rodeo bronc called Apollo. This was also worth 87.5 points and the Go-Round win.

When the Semi-Finals rolled around at Dickies Arena, Bruno and J Bar J Rodeo’s Stacked Deck put together an 87-point ride which would be Bruno’s lowest of the entire rodeo and it was still enough for second and place in the Finals.

On Championship Saturday, Bruno had a rematch with J Bar J’s Straight Moonshine, a horse that he was 92.5 points on earlier this season at the Brad Gjermundson Finals to cash in over $8,000 with that ride alone. The two had a repeat performance in Fort Worth when a 92 topped the leaderboard once again and added the $20,000 cash prize to Bruno’s earnings.

Over the weeks of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Bruno took advantage of the time between his bracket and the Semi-Finals by riding and placing at three Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo. Combined, the three trips to the pay window were worth over $4,500.

So far, it is a season of extreme success for Idaho’s Bruno and he is your Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
