While fighting through lingering injuries, Sage Kimzey showed he is not going anywhere in 2023.

After taking about a month off following his Super Series at RodeoHouston, Kimzey returned two weeks ago when he finished third at the Lawton Xtreme Bulls.

He kept the momentum rolling into San Angelo, where he covered his bull in the rodeo and dominated the Xtreme Bulls event.

Kimzey was 87.5 on Crash Cart in the Long Round and 89.5 on Pickup Man in the Short Round to 40 percent the event and take home almost $13,000. The win moved him from No. 27 to No. 16 in the PRCA World Standings. Kimzey is 5-for-8 at X Bulls events with all five rides marked 86 points or more this season.

For the season, Kimzey has ridden 10-of-19 bulls for an average score of almost 86 points. He is averaging more than $3,500 per qualified ride.
