Tristen Hutchings capitalized on every opportunity he had in Houston and it all paid off as he left the RodeoHouston Bull Riding Champion making him your Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
In Super Series IV, Hutchings covered two of three bulls to be the No. 1 bull rider advancing to the Semifinals with $5,000 to his name. In Semifinal 2, an 86.5 on Bailey Pro Rodeo’s Dual Citizen courtesy of Hutchings himself was the No. 1 ride.
On Championship Sunday, Hutchings’ first match up was Cervi Championship Rodeo’s Center Fold. It was another 86.5 that sent him to the Championship Shoot Out where he nodded on another Cervi bull, Dialed In. Not only would Hutchings be the only one to cover his Shoot Out bull, he did so to a whopping 91.5 points.
The $65,000 win was all his and he added another $4,400 to it with his Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo success. Hutchings is your Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
