During the Thursday night performance of the Clark County Fair and Rodeo, saddle bronc rider Rusty Wright sustained an injury that nobody saw coming.
After getting off the bronc with the help of the pickup man, Wright landed on the ground and broke his ankle, his fibula below the knee and above the ankle. He also has a spiral fracture to his tibia. He was transported right away to the hospital in Las Vegas where he had surgery on Friday morning, however, he is out indefinitely for this season.
Wright’s score on Bat T Rodeo’s Hell Boy came in at 83 points.
