Ryder Wright Talks Horse Training

When Covid struck in the middle of Houston in 2020, World Champion saddle bronc rider Ryder Wright went home to Utah and found himself loving the idea of training horses. Now, his wife, Cheyenne, says that whenever he is home, he is outside training horses.

His interest peaked after watching some reining videos, the stops and spins made Wright want to learn how to do that. He got his start with a two-year-old colt that Wright’s father had and now he has four horses to keep him busy. His favorite that he has right now is a half draft that he bought last fall. Wright has put in the time and effort with this horse that made him reap the rewards of horse training when he felt it click.

Wright said that although broncs are his main focus, when he is done doing that he will be outside training horses.
