Ryder Wright’s Round 1 matchup at the Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup was a rematch with none other than Brookman Rodeo’s Ragin’ Lunatic. The World Champion bronc rider put together an 83.5-point ride that when the dust settled, was worth $10,000.
“I knew she was kind of going to squat in there a little bit and then take a little scoot and go out there and blow up and do her thing. And I knew if I just sat on top of her and do what I know how to, it was going to work out,” Wright said.
With two more rounds to go in Sioux Falls, Wright has the opportunity to climb the standings even higher and tonight, he faces Powder River Rodeo’s Blue Northern. He currently sits No. 7 in the world and is looking at his eighth National Finals Rodeo qualification.
