Saddle Bronc Rider Logan Hay Advances Out of Fort Worth With Highest Marked Ride of Rodeo

Logan Hay delivered 89 points on Pete Carr’s Larry Culpepper to Advance from Bracket 2

Logan Hay established himself as the class of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo saddle bronc riding so far with an 89-point ride on Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Larry Culpepper.

Prior to Hay’s ride, the highest marked ride of the rodeo through three performances belonged to reigning World Champion Zeke Thurston at 85.5 points.

“I saw that horse was going to be out about a week ago and I knew I wanted him and was pumped to get him,” Hay said. “To get him here early in the season and get rolling like that is awesome.”

Hay is advancing to the Semifinals along with his brother Dawson. Ben Andersen is the Wild Card participant from Bracket 2, making it a Canadian sweep.

Last year, Dawson won the title in Fort Worth.

“I hope (it’s my turn),” he said. “We’ll be head-to-head in the Semis.”

It would not be the first time a major rodeo title was passed down from one Hay brother to another. In 2022, Logan won The Calgary Stampede and Dawson went on to win it in 2023.
