San Antonio Qualifier Luke Mast Gets Back-to-Back Round Wins to Advance to Semifinals

Luke Mast impresses getting two of three Go-Round wins at Frost Bank Center.

Two Go-Round wins go to Kansas’ Luke Mast bringing his total to $5,000 and sending him to the Semifinals in San Antonio.

His Round 2 matchup was Big Rafter Rodeo’s Silver Bullet, who he covered for 82.5 points before climbing on another Big Rafter bull in Round 3. He would go for 84.5 points on Repo Man to cinch his place.

“I didn’t know much about him, I knew he was probably going to go left. I kind of set a game plan a little bit, still went jump for jump with him and I mean, he just felt cool. I’m extremely blessed,” Mast said.

Mast made it to San Antonio through the qualifier but when it comes down to it, he said you have to expect to win and do your best.

Joining Mast in the Semifinals from Bracket 1 is none other than Creek Young who was consistent enough to place in every round. This makes him the No. 2 man coming out of this bracket.

Fulton Rutlant found himself second in two go-rounds and cashing in $4,000 behind Mast and Young.

The fourth bull rider from Bracket 1 to advance is your Round 1 winner, JaCauy Hale. His massive 87-point ride cinched him the Go-Round win by two points but he did not stop there. He placed in Round 3 to bring his total to $3,500.

The two San Antonio Semifinal Rounds will take place on Feb. 22-23 and air live on The Cowboy Channel.
