Cash Robb barely missed out on the National Finals Rodeo during his Resistol Rookie Year after an injury sidelined him for the final month of the season. In 2024, he came back gunning for a trip to Vegas and the 21-year-old left no doubt by finishing No. 8 in the World.
San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, $6,500
In his season debut, Robb advanced through his bracket in second place after a 3.8-second run to win Round 3 ensured he advanced. In the Semifinals, he was 4.8 and advanced to the Finals, where he finished seventh, with $6,500.
Keeping the train rolling in the Texas Swing, Robb advanced again in Houston, but to the Wildcard, where he missed out on the Finals by just tenths of a second. However, he still left with $5,000.
Dixie National Rodeo, $4,639
In the midst of the Texas Swing, Robb made a run over to Mississippi where he placed in the Second Round with a 4.3-second run before he finished in a tie for second place in the Average with South Dakota’s Eli Lord.
Rodeo Celina, $2,032
Robb put a bow on May with a win in Parker, Texas. With a time of 3.8 seconds, Robb was the fastest steer wrestler there by over a full second to beat 2020 World Champion Jacob Edler and 2019 NFR Average Champion Matt Reeves.
Strawberry Days Rodeo, $2,221
In Robb’s home state of Utah, he picked up another win right before the unofficial kick off of the Summer Run. By two tenths of a second, Robb’s 4.5-second run was enough for the win over traveling partner Talon Roseland.
Cody Stampede, $7,417
A huge success over Cowboy Christmas for Robb came in Wyoming. With the only sub-4-second run of the rodeo, Robb laid down a 3.7 to get the win at one of the most iconic events of the Fourth of July run. This payday would be Robb’s third highest of the season.
Another win came Robb’s way over the Fourth by way of his home state. At the Oakley Independence Day Rodeo, Robb squeezed by veteran bulldogger Stetson Jorgensen by one tenth of a second with his 3.5 to win it all.
North Dakota Roughrider Cup, $10,771
Placing in North Dakota would be Robb’s second highest payday of the regular season. In tough competition, Robb found his 3.8 fast enough for third to add to his momentum as he prepared for the final push of the regular season.
Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup, $15,000
The tournament style format in Sioux Falls proved to be fitting for Robb once again as he made it to the Final Four. His fastest run of the rodeo came in the Semifinals when a 4.1 put him in a tie for first in the Go-Round. His 4.2 in the Finals got him third place and secured his NFR bid with a $15,000 check for that one run.
