Shali Lord announced on Facebook that her horse, Can Man will not stand to the public for the 2022 breeding season due to a hock injury.
Lord said, “Thank you all for your well wishes for Can Man! He did sustain a fracture above his hock during a run in Idaho, and since then he’s been under the care and supervision of some of the best veterinarians in the country. He is resting comfortably and healing well, but still has a long road ahead of him.
We all want the best for him and to heal as well as possible, so the decision has been made to not stand him to the public for the 2022 breeding season. This is a difficult decision for such an amazing stallion in his prime, but his future soundness and wellbeing are our main concern. He will always give us 100% so it’s our job to make sure he gets the rest he needs!
2021 rebreed contracts will be honored and we will be contacting those clients in the coming weeks to make arrangements. Thank you again for all the support and thank you to the amazing team watching over Can Man!”
