The team roping at the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo is always one to watch. Shay Carroll and Evan Arnold made the fastest run of the rodeo this far with a 5.7 second run in the first performance.
“They have the tradition of the muleys… it’s fun and when they switch up the set ups, it’s kind of fun to try something different,” Carroll said.
This is Arnold’s first time roping at the Guymon Pioneer Days and it was something he was looking forward to. He had confidence in his partner, was excited to rope the muleys and attributes part of his success to the way her grew up.
In the timed events, it is a three head average in Guymon and the team’s 5.7 send them to the lead in Round 3 and put them fourth in the average.
