Shelby Meged Wins Governor’s Cup in Style

Shelby Meged took home the title at the Governor’s Cup after a 1.6-second run in the Finals. It was the fastest time of the rodeo and just another big moment where Meged shined.

“I’d rather win last place while trying to win first place. That has always been my motto.”

Meged is the reigning World Champion and the reigning champion of the Governor’s Cup.

“I have to give this win to my dad. At 26 I’ll need him just as much as I ever have... he got my confidence back for this.”
