Steer Wrestler Clayton Hass Advances to Championship Sunday at the Calgary Stampede

The No. 3 steer wrestler to advance from Pool B is Texas’ Clayton Hass.

Clayton Hass might not have had the Round 3 run he was hoping for at the Calgary Stampede but the 7.7-second run was enough for sixth-place and $1,000 to push him into the Top 4. He is the No. 3 steer wrestler from Pool B to make it back to the Semifinals.

“I got a great start right there and the steer let off, kind of caught me off guard, didn’t get a very good head catch and just kind of muscled through it and muscled through the run. That thousand bucks right there got me back in and now we got a chance at the $50,000 on Sunday,” Hass said.

Hass has spent the last three years hazing and helping but he is hungry for a return to the Thomas and Mack. While he is still helping his guys, Hass is focused on himself this season and he currently sits No. 21 in the PRCA World Standings.

Advancing alongside Hass from Pool B is fellow veteran bull doggers Dakota Eldridge, Ty Erickson and Stetson Jorgensen.
