Stetson Wright wins first career PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Title

Stetson Wright finished the job in style in the saddle bronc riding this year by winning Round 10 with 93 points on Vitalix Ricky Bobby to edge his brother Ryder, the reigning World Champion by about $1,200.

He finished with $343,523.

Stetson has now won five Gold Buckles in the last three years. Three in the all-around and one apiece in saddle bronc riding and bull riding.

“That ride (in Round 10) was awesome, but nothing was better than being down here with Ryder,” Stetson said. “He pushed me all week, along with my family and it was just an awesome week, there’s not much more I can say.”

Stetson entered the 2021 NFR with $193,096 and a lead of about $11,000 on Ryder.

Stetson finished eighth in the Average but made the most of the eight horses he rode at the 2021 NFR. He placed in the Top 2 six times, including the last three rounds and made a total of $143,906 in day money over 10 rounds. Wright also had three rides marked 90 points or higher and was the only bronc rider to do so.
