In March The Cowboy Channel announced that the network would 40 nights continuously of the last four years (2016-2019) of the National Finals Rodeo starting on Friday, March 20, at 8 PM ET and running through April 28 (repeat airings will be at midnight ET), bringing fans over 120 hours of rodeo coverage that has only ever been seen on CBS Sports once before.

“I think we are all still trying to come to grips with what has transpired in the last couple of weeks. It seems like every day we are faced with a new challenge. Here at The Cowboy Channel we are striving to keep our viewers informed and entertained,” said Jeff Medders, President and General Manager of The Cowboy Channel. “We are excited to provide an escape in these tough times, and what would be better than ’40 Nights of NFR.’ We will start with Round #1 in 2016 and work our way to Round #10 last December. Our hopes are that when we hit night 40, the challenges we are facing will have begun to subside, and we will all be energized and ready for the summer rodeo season.”

“We’re excited to have The Cowboy Channel offer rodeo fans 40 nights of the National Finals Rodeo,” PRCA CEO George Taylor said. “This is a great opportunity for fans new and old to relive the passion of recent NFRs.”

The 40 Nights of NFR was so popular among rodeo fans that The Cowboy Channel decided to extend the series, tacking on 2 more years and 20 more nights of NFR action.

Currently you can watch the 2014 NFR every night at 8:00 PM ET, and then on Saturday, May 9, the 2015 National Finals begins with Round 1.
