Leading up to the highly anticipated matchup of world champions Tim O’Connell and Killer Bee, Rhett Beutler of the Beutler and Son Rodeo Company introduced us to the 2019 Bareback Horse of the Year.

Before riding her at the Lawton Rangers Rodeo, 3X World Champion O’Connell had never gotten on Killer Bee. And, in the words of Justin McKee, “It was a match made in heaven.” O’Connell went 90 points, not only winning the rodeo but also tying the Lawton arena record.

“I’ve had chills down my spine ever since I saw my name next to her last Sunday when we got the draw,” O’Connell said immediately following his ride. “It was very hard this week to have six days in anticipation for that 8-second moment of your life, but you know, what a great week, what a blessed week this has been.”

“I’ve never had one test my waters like that before.”
