In Studio with Dona Kay Rule

Barrel racer Dona Kay Rule stopped by The Cowboy Channel Studio in the Stockyards to talk about her season.

Last year she made it to her first NFR and her horse, High Valor, was named Horse of the Year. Now sitting at No. 4 in the WPRA World Standings, they are on track to make a repeat appearance.

“He’s been a big deal, and every horse I’ve ever had has been a big deal, but I had no idea how much talent he actually had, so yeah, he’s been a good one, and he loves his job,” Dona Kay says.

Dona Kay talks about how Valor came to be primary horse after Juice was in a freak accident that caused major injury, how they work together, where they are headed for the rest of the season, and looking forward to the NFR.
