Trevor Kastner is a six-time NFR qualifier but his last two NFR qualifications have come at a time when he was trying to step away from the arena and spend more time at home with his family.
“I’d probably have to say my best quality is just getting lucky,” Kastner says. “Kind of like this year ... I may not have rode the best this year but I was able to stay on the right ones at the right places.”
Unfortunately, he didn’t have a lot of luck at the 2020 NFR, placing in only the first of ten rounds, but a third place check got him more than $15K, and we are pretty sure he’s happy to be back home with his wife and kids.
For him, bull riding is just a way to be home as much as he can,” says Kate Kastner. “So going to the big rodeos and getting that chance to win a good chunk of money is what allows him to stay home.”
Take a look at the man outside the rodeo as he tells you what his family means to him.
