Steer Wrestler Tanner Brunner has now qualified for three consecutive Wrangler NFRs and he used a huge final month to make a jump to No. 6 in the standings. Brunner will head to Arlington with $46,885 already banked.
In September, the Kansas cowboy won more than $12,000.
In that stretch, he won the Gooding Pro Rodeo and a round a the Ram National Circuit Finals, but where he really was at the ProRodeo Tour Finale. Brunner finished second in Rapid City and had three runs timed at 3.9 seconds or less. He won close to $5,000 there.

In addition to blistering down the homestretch, Brunner came out of the gate strong in 2020 with a big two weeks in San Antonio. He placed in four rounds at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and won more than $10,000 there.
His performances at the AT&T Center earned him two separate checks of more than $4,000 thanks to times of 3.6 seconds in Round 3 and 4.3 seconds in the Championship Round.
Brunner says San Antonio is his favorite rodeo.

Brunner also had a stretch of Go-Round wins at three straight rodeos in June when he went Southwest and won in Mesquite, Texas, Woodward, Oklahoma and Coleman, Texas.
All of his times at those rodeos 4 seconds flat or better and all of them won him more than $1,000. The biggest payout was $3,266 in Woodward.
In each of the previous two times he has made the Wrangler NFR, Brunner has finished 15th in the world. His career-best earnings for a single season is $109,912.
