By the numbers: No. 3 bareback rider Clayton Biglow flying under the radar

Clayton Biglow is currently No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings and with two wins in the last weekend of May, he is finally breaking out from the shadow of No. 1 Tilden Hooper and No. 2 Tim O’Connell.

He was first in Cave Creek with 81.5 points and first at the MSU-Northern Extreme Broncs and Bares Challenge with 89 points on Bunny Hugger. Those two wins earned him just over $5,000 combined.

Since April 16 in Red Bluff, he has gotten on six bucking horses and collected a check on five of those rides Three of those rides have been 85 or better and three of those checks have been more than $3,000. Overall, Biglow has won $17,000 on his last six horses compared to just $1,000 on the six before that.

For the season, Biglow also leads all bareback riders in ProRodeo Tour points and his average score of 83.32 is the second-highest of his career. The only year he was better was 2019, when he won the Gold Buckle and about $425,000.
