First-ever RFD-TV’s The American Rodeo Breaking Away Roping World Champion and recent high school graduate Madison Outhier had the fastest time of the night last night in Perf 3 at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days Rodeo in Weatherford, Texas — riding her trusty horse Rooster.
“I’m so lucky to have such a great athlete as a partner, and he definitely makes my job easier,” she says.
A 2.9 was fast enough to get her on the leaderboard, Madison is now splitting sixth with Rachelle Shirley, Hope Thompson, and Bailey Gubert in Weatherford. And today she’s roping in the short-go at the Texas High School State Finals in Abilene.
Listen to what she has to say after her run in Weatherford about making the high school finals, roping with Rooster, her family support system, and her message for all of her high school rodeo piers.
