Last night in Weatherford, Seth Hardwick drew the horse that Ward Macza’s called “a cowboy’s dream” — 2019 Bareback Horse of the Year Stevie Knicks.
And the matchup paid off. Hardwick went 90 on Macza Pro Rodeo’s Stevie Knicks in Performance 3 at the Parker County Sheriff’s Frontier Days Rodeo in Weatherford, Texas, moving to the top of the leaderboard ahead of Garrett Shadbolt, who was 89 on Rafter H Rodeo’s Pony Soldier two nights before.
On drawing Stevie Knicks, Hardwick said, “It’s awesome. That’s a horse you want to draw all the time. You know, they win rounds at Calgary, the NFR, and all the big rodeos — you want her. She’s so fun to ride. That’s what bareback riding’s for right there.”
