Shelby Spielman won Day 2 of the barrel racing in Pool B at the Calgary Stampede with a time of 17.42 seconds.

Spielman, who recently moved from Texas to Alberta, was also second on the first day of Pool B action on Tuesday giving her $10,000 total. She sits in first place in the pool, leading Lindsay Kruse by $1,500.

“It feels pretty good, I’m pretty blessed and thankful to be here,” she said. “I’ve had pretty good luck at the Canadian rodeos, so I guess it’s hard to complain about being in Canada.”
